Guthridge v. Georgia
Takeyia Guthridge appealed her convictions of malice murder and aggravated assault in connection with the 2012 fatal stabbing of her mother, Deloise Adu, and the assault with a knife of her step-brother, Frank Adu. She challenged certain instructions to the jury, the effectiveness of her trial counsel, and the sufficiency of the evidence presented against her at trial. Finding no merit to her challenged, the Supreme Court affirmed Guthridge's convictions. View "Guthridge v. Georgia" on Justia Law
