The Supreme Judicial Court affirmed Defendant’s conviction of murder and elevated aggravated assault, entered after a bench trial, holding that there was no error in the proceedings below.Specifically, the Court held (1) the evidence was sufficient to support the trial court’s factual findings, as well as its ultimately finding that Defendant was at least an accomplice in the murder and assault; (2) Defendant was not denied the due process guaranteed by the Fourteenth Amendment during trial; (3) the trial court did not err in allowing two witnesses to identify Defendant in court; and (4) the court did not err or abuse its discretion in certain evidentiary rulings challenged by Defendant on appeal.
